Client Challenge

The client set out to achieve two primary objectives:

  • Reduce infrastructure and digital application Run costs by identifying rationalisation efficiencies across previously disparate regions
  • Simplify the digital business by moving towards a single set of business processes to be adopted by all regions

What We Did

TORI deployed a small team of key resources to work closely with the client’s teams to perform the following:

  • Discovery exercise: Identified candidate applications for decommissioning and migration
  • Produced supporting business cases, options papers and roadmap. Secured agreements to proceed with recommendations
  • Reviewed and re-designed separate regional business processes for Mobile and Web channel sales into a single, global set
  • Knowledge Transfer: A valuable bi-product of our team working so closely with the client was their people’s increased capability and matured working practices

Outcome & Results

  • Integration (MS Biztalk) middleware across multiple geographies migrated onto single platform, saving MS license costs, infrastructure hardware and application support costs
  • Disparate mobile applications used in multiple regions were re-architected on a new, global mobile platform
  • Local apps were decommissioned, realising cost savings on software licences and infrastructure hardware costs
  • Local websites used in multiple regions were migrated onto single enterprise CMS and local sites were decommissioned. Software license costs savings realised as well as application support costs
