The EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing, which came into effect on 30 September 2019, are designed to provide a harmonised framework to promote greater consistency in the assessment, selection, contracting and management of outsourced services across the EU and its various regulatory bodies. The approach taken in the Guidelines will continue to apply in the UK regardless of the Brexit outcome. This whitepaper looks at how the new regulation, which at first glance seems a significant overhead, could in fact turn into opportunity for those firms that evolve with the Guidelines and create value-add for their customers.
The paper is a continuation of our partnership with international law firm, Taylor Wessing, with whom we recently hosted a successful webinar on this topic. It has been co-authored by Martin Cotterill, a Partner in Taylor Wessing's Technology and Outsourcing Group.
