Client Challenge

The client, a global exchange, has been experiencing substantial growth in recent years due to recent merger activities and, as a consequence, an increase in size and complexity of their delivery estate.

It asked TORI to assess existing data and governance underpinning key components of its technology services,  to understand the “As-is” status and to develop a future state blueprint to fully leverage the benefits of its service integration. ​

What We Did

  • Conducted structured interview sessions with key stakeholders across different business units ​
  • Documented processes for important business areas and functions​
  • Documented data sets of all processes and the controls in place ​
  • Created a report summarising the findings from senior manager interviews regarding their view on processes and governance maturity​
  • An assessment of their coverage of process and governance as it compares to industry frame works (COBIT and ITIL)​

Outcome & Results

The client used the TORI outputs to:​

  • Understand the ‘AS IS’ status of process and controls, to understand the IT process coverage for supporting multiple business units​
  • Identify ‘Quick Wins’ available to them to address process gaps ​
  • Identify controls which require enhancements or have a need to improve their maturity to support the business​
  • Identify and plan longer term risk improvement opportunities ​
  • Add inputs to their maturity agenda planning ​
  • Make Inputs to a detailed roadmap for execution of initiatives to contribute towards their future state blueprint​
  • Map their processes and controls to their Governance, Risk and Compliance tooling ​
  • Enable a comparison of processes and governance when compared to risk and compliance requirements ​
