The TORI Story

A word or two from our joint CEO and founder Martin Harvey about the founding principles that sets the firm apart from other management consulting firms.

Let me take you back to 2002…

A group of three C-level executives, myself included, had been working for large Financial Services firms and we were frustrated. Frustrated by the way that management consultancies operated and frustrated by their lack of knowledge, experience and transparency. This also led to the creation of our tagline; Experience. The Difference.

So we decided to become the solution we were looking for. We set up TORI to be a transformational consultancy within Financial Services that would do things differently.

It was a tough start. Our competitors were huge. Their reputations, influence and spending power dwarfed ours. I was even advised to close the firm at one point. And that was before the financial crisis hit…

But we backed ourselves through it all. We always believed that if we worked hard, built successful partnerships and stuck to our values of Trust, Openness, Respect and Integrity, we would reap rewards. Our experience was indeed the difference!

The pace of digital change is unprecedented, but we will always be ahead of the game – because we will always put industry experience and client relationships at the heart of what we do.

It gives me great pride and personal pleasure that TORI has grown and become an award-winning and recognised financial service consultancy. We have some of the best brains in the business and a proven track record of success. We also have big ambitions for ourselves and for our clients.

2002

TORI Global is born

Founded on the values of Trust, Openness, Respect
and Integrity.

2003

First client is Perot Systems

New offices open in Hanover Square.

2007

Success at last

Repeat business from clients. Word spreads. TORI starts making money. The firm grows rapidly.

2008

First international business

Working with US and Australian firms.

2009

Sponsorship of children’s tennis academy in Norwich

2010

‘Everyone owns the firm’ model adopted

All employees receive options.

2013

Change’ and ‘Run’ practices introduced

2014

Head office moves to Cavendish Square, Oxford Circus

‘Control’ practice added.

2015

Top 50 in the Times Tech Track 100

‘Digital’ offering created.

2015 – April

Company magazine ‘Perspectives’ is launched

2015 – May

£50,000 raised for charity Samaritans

2015 – July

New York office opens on Wall Street

A year of growth and investment

ISO9001 initial accreditation

We become qualified under the internationally recognised BSI ISO9001 Quality Management certification.

Expand business into Middle East and Nordics

Introduced a new brand for TORI

Refreshed our look-and-feel with a modern, streamlined brand identity.

TORI 20th Anniversary

In 2022 TORI Celebrated its 20th year of incorporation! In two decades of operating TORI has delivered over 1000+ projects to over 200+ financial service clients. To commemorate the milestone, the infinity sign was incorporated into a special one-off celebratory logo.
