Raising funds and awareness for a charity close to our hearts
The partnership between TORI and CLIC Sargent was forged when one of our employees, Nigel Crutchley, lost his son Ben to a brain tumour in 2012. After Ben died, Nigel pledged to raise £1m for the young people and children supported by CLIC Sargent, and everyone at TORI is committed to helping Nigel reach that target.
CLIC Sargent provides emotional, practical and financial support to ease the struggle families face as they battle childhood cancer. Often family members are required to travel on average 60 extra miles to the few specialist institutions to receive life-saving treatment for their children. As well as the additional cost, this puts further strain on families as they try to balance hospital visits with day-to-day life. CLIC Sargent’s passionate and experienced staff work hard to bridge this gap and give families a helping hand.
A pledge to support the armed forces community
The Armed Forces Covenant is a commitment to acknowledge, understand and support those who serve or have served in the armed forces. It states that they and their families should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.
TORI is proud to be a Bronze level Armed Forces Covenant supporter. Amongst other things this publicly demonstrates our respect for the armed forces, but also that we are open to employing reservists, armed forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), cadet instructors and military spouses/partners.
TORI is delighted to sponsor Richard Phillips Racing, based at Adelstrop Stables in the Costwolds. Martin Harvey, CEO, says he is pleased to bring his passion for horse racing to TORI, whose name appears on all racecards. "We are proud to be associated with such a talented team of National Hunt horses."
