All employees understand and behave according to TORI's key values which are:

Trust

  • Positive behaviours: Consistent behaviour; manage the output not the process; say no rather than just not delivering.
  • Avoid: Expecting people to work the same way; value the differences and do not expect conformity; do not try to take credit and pass the blame; do not be afraid to ask for help.

Openness

  • Positive behaviours: Listen; moderate your ego; help and share; be proactive and not competitive.
  • Avoid: Defensive behaviour; holding back for self gain; openness that is disrespectful or not helpful.

Respect

  • Positive behaviours: Support each other; put the needs of others in the team first; no overt criticism; be prepared to share your extensive network of contacts to help the team.
  • Avoid: Not doing something just because you don't see the value in doing it; not responding to emails on the basis that someone else will; not supporting each other in front of the client.

Integrity

  • Positive behaviours: Professionalism with the client; consistent behaviour; share highs and lows and emotions in a positive manner; consistent positive behaviour.
  • Avoid: Side conversations; expecting the company to do it all; egos.
