Client: Leading Investment Bank
Assignment: 
To help the bank develop a management and leadership culture fitting for a global bank with a global strategy
Details:
TORI is delivering a tailored global leadership and management development programme that reinforces the company’s values and behaviours, and standardises leadership and management right across the organisation.

Outcomes:
 
So far, two core programmes ‘Managing for Success’ and ‘Leading for Success’ have been delivered to countries as far-flung as Brazil, Singapore and Hong Kong, and in New York, London, Paris and Brussels. In total, 1,500 employees at the bank will take part in the leadership programmes.

Client: Global Investment Bank
Assignment: To agree performance levels and priorities for business function
Details:  A pre-workshop session to collect requirements and expectations of the 8-member team.  TORI then ran the 2-day workshop to:

  • Agree targets, i.e. ‘what would great really look like?’
  • Agree current status using the McKinsey 7S approach to identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Agree and prioritise gaps
  • Build a road map to agree target
  • Agree approach for a Balanced Scorecard to show performance and track progress

Outcomes: The workshop delivered significant team building benefits resulting in an agreed target model, including implementation and performance reporting plans.

Client: Corporate Investment Banking division of one of Europe’s largest Banks
Assignment: A global management training programme
Details: To build a global management training programme to cater to:

  • The demands of front-office managers working in an Investment Banking environment
  • To incorporate the importance of values and behaviours demanded by the Bank’s senior executives.

Outcomes:  TORI’s first-hand practitioner experience in Investment Banking and running similar programmes for major City institutions meant the programme was tailored to the audience and after running successful pilot sessions, a full management training programme was launched.

Client: Leading Insurance Company
Assignment: Review the current model to ensure the business function was delivering demonstrable value to the organisation.
Details: TORI ran this 2-day workshop for joint function heads, staff and clients, to:

  • Agree requirements and current status
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Agree and prioritise gaps, including people, processes and technology
  • Build a road map to deliver the target, including owners and activities.

Outcomes: An agreed, revised target model with implementation plan. A road map was developed to demonstrate how the function is adapting to meet current business requirements and the steps taken.
